" i think i walk a while with you. "
(road to Salamanca)
crosses this wisdom a pilgrim's path along the road. It is time for a short rest and a meeting with those who want to seek them. The guitar plays quietly, and the voice is there too ( Walking The Camino ). Devoutly to be clear that it must go further. Casual one trots away. The foot-friendly walking shoes exchanged for worn boots, past the unreachable oasis ( Speed Of Sound ) And the sea. The waves wash around the battered legs. The piano plays his songs and to leave everything to flow for a moment ( Waves ). The thoughts rushing and revolve around the past, to places and of course about love, desire and killed deliquescence. The road gets out of sight and it is difficult to go further.
But then you leave the sea and on and on. The water bottle is empty, the head and the feet have blisters, but the music continues. Sometimes quiet times faster and then suddenly Salamanca lies ahead. Glistening in the sun. But it is now really arrived? The decisions you had better until the next morning. Maybe even all a dream and you were sitting far back on the plane. To where you came from. Because you can be as truly the best of what you so long awaited, but then not ( Morning Light ).
Influenced by years of touring, and the search for what has in life, shall Trailhead before a record that is sometimes folk, sometimes Singer / Songwriter and Country. It features images of landscapes, encounters and desires. The melodies are great in their simplicity, the warm voice is full of beautiful harmonic polyphony. There are lots of guitars, sometimes band and sometimes a piano. Everything is arranged in a consistent and shines with wonderfully understated catchiness. Sometimes it takes more than just a good melody and voice and the right tools.
trailhead lies behind the songwriter Tobias Panwitz, residing in Berlin, the once solo, sometimes plays with band and guest musicians to his music. He has long been in search of what saved him from the boredom of constants and the music was left. The orientation on variables such as Tom Petty or Neil Young, he's since his musical career and now with "The Road to Salamanca" created a gem that all over the agitated music landscape invites to rest and focus on the essentials.
And who, like me, do not classify spontaneously where the road is found to Salamanca, which may take the opportunity to once again dig out the old world atlas of school hours and reveling in memories drift off and look where one of their own way once already conducted or where he will lead again. Where is Salamanca, then you know it. And maybe you have a melody in the ear.
